ESSA HUNT TESTS

 

We had two days of hunt tests this weekend and a great time was had by all.  The land tests were held at the Hopewell Conservation Area and the water tests were held at the Langdon Reservoir.  We had a very enjoyable time with entries at all levels.  Thanks to the judges - Boyd McIntyre and Dominic Pirri (Saturday judges); Ed Anderson and Rod Jaeger (Sunday judges). Thanks to the guns - Wayne Brennen, Aaron Dingman, Val Weaver, Steve Harper and Tim Bashforth.  Thanks to Hardy Roch and Steve Harper for planting.  Also, thanks to Boyd McIntyre for marshalling and acting as event secretary.  Very special thanks to Sheila Bonin for chairing the event.

 

Hunt tests are a great way to spend a day with your dog in a non-competitive environment and is a way that ESSA can offer an activity for those who do not field trial.  We had a large number of entries (37 in total); some from as far away as Vancouver Island.
